Founded in 1847 by Nathan Coombs, the historic town is literally surrounded by the world-famous vineyards and wineries of the Napa Valley.
Located less than an hour's drive from San Francisco and the Bay Area, Napa Downtown is in the midst of an exciting time of rejuvenation as measured development and infrastructure enhancements continue in the downtown area and on the banks of the Napa River.
The Napa Downtown Association was founded in 1971 to guide the district's economic and cultural development. Its 300 members include restaurants, shops, stores and professional services which are located in the city of Napa.
